Hawkings Tinney LLP is a full-service chartered accounting firm with offices located in Stony Plain and Barrhead, Alberta. We provide full-cycle accounting, tax and financial advice for small- to medium-sized businesses in all industries, including agriculture and manufacturing. We also provide personal accounting services to individuals in the areas of personal tax, estates and trusts.
Hawkings Tinney LLP was formed by its two partners, J Scott Hawkings and Tanya Tinney. Both J Scott Hawkings and Tanya Tinney are former partners at Hawkings Epp Dumont, which was founded in 1962 by Frank J. Bruha (deceased) and Anthony W. Whelan (deceased). The firm has been operating in Stony Plain since then and has a long, proud history of serving the community. We look forward to serving our clients into the future.

J Scott Hawkings conducts a full-service accounting practice covering notice to reader and review engagements, tax, consulting and other matters for both individuals and businesses.
He obtained his CA while articling with Meyers Norris Penny, and then joined Hawkings Epp Dumont LLP in 1999, becoming a partner in 2006. In 2017, he opened Hawkings Tinney LLP with Tanya Tinney.

Tanya Tinney CPA, CA
Tanya Tinney’s practice focuses on small- to medium-sized businesses and personal tax. Her practice includes notice to readers and review engagements, tax, consulting, trusts and estate planning matters.
Tanya worked with Peat Marwick Thorne (now KPMG) before joining Hawkings Epp Dumont LLP in 1992 and becoming a partner in 2006. In 2017, she opened Hawkings Tinney LLP with J Scott Hawkings.

Jason Kennedy CPA, CA
Jason Kennedy’s practice consists primarily of owner-managed small and medium-sized private companies. His practice includes review and notice to reader financial statements, corporate and personal income tax preparation and planning, and estate and trust income tax planning, and consulting for individuals and private enterprises.
Jason worked with Peterson Walker LLP before joining Hawkings Epp Dumont LLP in 2006. In 2018, he became a partner at Hawkings Tinney LLP.
