Administrative Professional Required

We are looking for an Administrative Professional able to work flexible and seasonal hours; approximately 3 days/week May through January and 3-5 days/week February through April.

The ideal candidate will have a pleasant personality along with excellent organization and communication skills. The ability to perform basic reception/administrative functions while working in a sometimes fast paced environment is essential. This position requires knowledge and experience with all Microsoft Office applications and the willingness to learn accounting specific programs. Prior experience in a professional office is a definite asset.

Accounting Technician Required

We have a full-time Accounting Technician position available. You would work closely with our team continuing to develop your skills by working on a wide variety of client assignments including the preparation of working papers, financial statements, corporate/personal tax and other special projects.

Primary duties:

  • Prepare working paper files, financial statements and corporate tax returns
  • Calculate and prepare GST returns
  • Calculate and prepare payroll and T4/T5 returns
  • Prepare personal tax returns
  • Full cycle bookkeeping duties (AP, AR, Bank reconciliations, etc.)
  • Communication with our clients, government agencies and our professionals/staff

Prior public practice accounting experience, proficiency in Caseware, Taxprep, Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sage and Excel would be definite assets, but consideration will be given to train the right candidate who possesses 5+ years of prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, have excellent verbal/written communication skills, and maintain attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
